Beautiful, Successful Weddings and Events
Earlier this week I had the pleasure of performing Solo Piano music at the Pelican Hill Resort for a Holiday Party. Beautiful location!
Live Jazz
This weekend I am playing a dinner dance with my Jazz Trio at a private club in Pasadena.
New Year’s Eve
I’ll be the DJ and Master of Ceremonies conducting this year’s New Year’s Eve festivities at a hotel in Long Beach.
Well Planned Event
There is a logical flow to a well planned event. There is also peace of mind that comes with a well planned event; everything is set and in place. Then it happens. Guests arrive and music starts! There will be food and drink and depending on the event there will be toasts, dancing and “thank you’s”.

Music Well Planned
It can take a year or more to plan a large scale party or wedding. Choosing music is part of the planning process. Actually, choosing music for a special event can be a work in progress starting at the beginning of the planning process and continuing through the event itself. I know songs come to me in many ways throughout the day. I am always making notes when something catches my ear. It is really convenient to have a WiFi connection during an event to capture those last minute requests.
Start a list of songs you like
Here is a suggestion I made to one of my brides but this also applies to anyone planning a party:
“I know life can get pretty busy as the holidays approach. Even though we are multitasking all the time, sometimes we are reminded of songs that we like. No matter how busy we are songs come to us at just about anytime. Don’t let them slip away, start a list. (maybe use your phone “note pad” app.)”
It is always an adventure to talk about music. Have fun choosing your music and I look forward to your requests.
Sincerely,
Eric Zimmermann
